I am a first-year undergraduate student at The City College of New York and am pursuing a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering. I am writing to apply for the mechanical engineer intern position advertised on Linkedin. I believe that I am a good fit for this position because of my experience in Auto-CAD: SketchUp and building models.

In my past internship at WDPA Consulting Engineers, I used SketchUp to make 2 floors of a new school building. The company I worked for made new buildings and gave me the task to 3-D design 2 floors using blueprints and adding essential details such as columns that hold up the building. I also used Microsoft Word frequently for research on glazed windows and window film and edited writing by other engineers in the company. I took my work very seriously so I was always punctual and always made sure it was accurate and detailed. Not only do I have prior experience in a consulting engineering firm, but I also furthered my knowledge in 3-D designing and Microsoft Word.
